• Hurry only 1 days to apply * The role Care & Support worker Sheffield £26,227.50 We are recruiting a Support Worker for our Supported Housing service in Sheffield. The service supports people with mental health conditions to learn to live independently in the community, supporting them to learn/ build upon their skills and pursue their life aspirations. You do not need to have previous experience of working in the field of mental health, however it would help. We are looking for people with the right values, and an aspiration to help others improve their lives. If you are seeking an opportunity to start or progress a career in the Care and Support and are people oriented, get in touch. A comprehensive package of training will be provided. Within this role you will be providing support to adults with complex mental health difficulties. You will be key to their wellbeing, working with them to ensure they can manage their mental health along with developing/regaining the skills needed to maintain a tenancy, day to day living, and engaging with the community. You will be assigned customers, with whom you will have regular key working sessions. You will need to be prepared to be flexibly, and some weekends and evening work will be required. You will not be expected to cover nightshifts, The role is based in one of our Supported Living services in Sheffield and we will give you all you need to succeed; this is an ideal opportunity for someone who has an interest in mental health and is looking to start a career in adult social care. The key is the ability to demonstrate a passion to deliver excellent service to vulnerable adults in a dignified manner. You will need to be able to work independently as well as within a team and have the confidence to interact with customers with patience and compassion.
