Financial Controller

Financial Controller | Construction | £80-100k | Northampton Based - 4 days in the office. Working for a growing construction and civil engineering company you will be number one in finance, responsible for a team of 3, this is a hands on role managing day to day finance responsibilities for the group, and support with their rapid growth. Key Responsibilities:

• Compile monthly management accounts for group of companies, producing detailed variance analysis to support
• Responsible for producing annual budgets
• Produce cash flow and financial forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.
• Prepare monthly VAT returns across the group.
• Lead and facilitate the external audit process, ensuring the timely completion and submission of annual accounts.
• Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
• Identify and implement tax-efficiency opportunities, maximising available tax reliefs and investment opportunities.
• Take a lead role in the modernisation and continuous improvement of the finance function.
• Provide financial insight and commercial support as the business continues through its current growth plan. Skills required:
• Qualified Accountant
• Experience within the construction or property development sector with an understand of CIS
• Confident in producing management accounts and managing a small team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a established but growing business with opportunities to progress to Finance Director.
