Maintenance Technician

Role Description The Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at Delta Hotels by Marriott in Edinburgh. This position is responsible for performing routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on hotel facilities, guest rooms, and equipment to ensure a safe, comfortable environment. Day-to-day tasks include responding to maintenance requests, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing preventive maintenance schedules, and coordinating with external contractors when needed. The Maintenance Technician will also assist with monitoring building systems, adhering to health and safety standards, documenting work performed, and supporting other departments to minimize disruption to guests. Qualifications

• Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for building systems and hotel facilities.
• Experience with Troubleshooting and Industrial Maintenance to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance practices to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Understanding of basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems; relevant certifications are an advantage.
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals, safety procedures, and maintenance schedules.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with hotel staff and external vendors.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and the capacity to prioritize multiple requests.
• Previous experience in a hotel, commercial, or facilities maintenance environment is preferred.
