Cover Supervisor

Lift Kingswood is looking for a Cover Supervisor to join our team and make sure every child gets an excellent education, every day. We believe that learning shouldn't stop when a teacher is away. That's why we need someone who can step in with confidence, create a calm space, and help students stay focused. You'll be a familiar and trusted face in the classroom, supporting young people across all subjects and making a real difference to their progress. About The Role As a Cover Supervisor, you'll work across the school to support classes when teachers are absent. You'll help students understand their tasks, keep the classroom calm and focused, and make sure everyone stays on track. Whether it's planned cover or a last-minute change, you'll be ready to adapt and ensure learning continues smoothly. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes across the school in the absence of the teacher.
• Ensure students remain on task and follow the school's behaviour expectations.
• Manage the classroom environment to support positive behaviour and effective learning.
• Provide feedback to the relevant teacher about lesson progress, behaviour, or issues arising.
• Supervise students during non-class time when required (e.g., registration, breaks, exams).
• Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain the safety and wellbeing of all students.
• Assist with administrative tasks or learning support activities when cover is not required. What We Are Looking For
• Ability to follow lesson plans and deliver instructions clearly.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to use initiative.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
