As the friendly face of our catering service, you'll help create a positive patient experience from the moment orders are taken through to mealtime service. • Supporting the preparation and service of sandwiches, salads, cold starters and beverages.
  • Serving food and drinks to agreed standards, always maintaining a warm and professional approach.
  • Restocking serveries, vending machines and counters so service areas are ready for use.
  • Maintaining excellent standards of hygiene, food safety, presentation and customer care.
  • Recording allergen and special dietary information accurately and sharing it with the kitchen team.
  • Helping monitor patient, visitor and staff satisfaction and contributing ideas for service improvement. What were looking for:
  • A friendly, outgoing and patient-focused approach.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • A dependable, enthusiastic attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns, including weekends and evenings where required.
  • Level 2 Food Safety, or willingness to complete this with support from Horder Healthcare.
  • Awareness of safeguarding, food hygiene, allergen awareness and COSHH requirements, or willingness to learn.

What we offer: Location: The McIndoe Centre Salary: £24,784.50 per annum Contract type and hours: permanent 37.5 hours per week Shift pattern: 5 out of 7 between Monday and Sunday Right to work in the UK In accordance with Home Office guidance successful candidates will be required to evidence their right to work in the UK before commencement of employment. We have assessed this role and do not consider that we would be able to sponsor a successful candidate under the Skilled Worker route as the role does not meet the relevant Home Office criteria; the successful candidate therefore must be able to demonstrate their own right to work during the recruitment process without Horder Healthcare sponsorship. In order to streamline our recruitment process, we reserve the right to expire vacancies prior to the advertised closing date once we have received a sufficient number of applications. Due to the nature of work here at Horder Healthcare, and to ensure that we remain committed to our Safeguarding policy, all successful applicants will be subject to pre-employment checks, including an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS check). References and Occupational Health checks will also be taken up before appointment.
