This is a senior editorial role responsible for bringing the Moss brand to life through compelling storytelling, consistent messaging, and best-in-class copy across digital platforms, e-commerce, CRM, marketing campaigns, retail communications, internal communications and print materials. Working closely with teams across Creative, Buying, Marketing, HR, Learning & Development, E-commerce, Customer Service and Retail Operations, you will ensure our tone of voice is delivered with clarity, creativity and commercial impact. You will also play a key role in shaping content that supports customer engagement, enhances the online customer journey, and aligns with evolving SEO and digital marketing best practices. As the brand's editorial guardian, you will lead content direction, develop brand narratives, and ensure every piece of communication reflects Moss's positioning as a modern menswear and styling destination, driving consistency across all channels and platforms. What You'll Be Doing

  • Acting as the guardian of the Moss verbal identity, serving as the first point of contact and final sign-off for brand copy and messaging.
  • Partnering with stakeholders across the business to embed our tone of voice and enhance customer experience, brand positioning and commercial performance.
  • Leading and directing internal and external communications to ensure consistency and authority across all channels.
  • Guiding content owners on how best to tell stories across their platforms, aligning messaging with the brand's visual strategy and the wider menswear landscape.
  • Managing and developing the Copywriter and Brand Communications Writer, ensuring the delivery of high-quality editorial content.
  • Creating language frameworks and campaign narratives that shape marketing activity and customer engagement.
  • Working closely with E-commerce and Customer Service teams to enhance the customer journey through effective content and copy.
  • Championing great writing across the business and supporting colleagues to confidently deliver impactful communications.
  • Reviewing, editing and refining copy to ensure consistency, accuracy and alignment with the Moss tone of voice.
  • Driving storytelling initiatives that strengthen customer connection and brand affinity. What We're Looking For
  • Significant experience as a Senior Copywriter, Brand Editor or Editorial Lead, gained in-house, agency-side or freelance.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills with the ability to develop compelling brand narratives.
  • Strong experience managing multiple projects and deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and champion the value of strong brand language.
  • Commercial awareness with a solid understanding of SEO principles and digital marketing trends.
  • Experience leading, coaching or mentoring content and copy teams.
  • Strong understanding of brand positioning, customer engagement and content strategy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. About You
  • You are a natural storyteller with a passion for language, brand building and customer engagement.
  • You understand how words influence perception and behaviour, and you can adapt your writing style to create meaningful connections with different audiences. Equally comfortable crafting strategic narratives and refining day-to-day copy, you bring creativity, commercial awareness and attention to detail to everything you do.
  • You thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy working cross-functionally, and build strong relationships across all levels of a business. Most importantly, you are a champion of great communication and consistently demonstrate the values of Trust, Creativity, Collaboration and Agility in the way you work. Why Join Moss? At Moss, we're proud of our heritage, but we're focused on the future. As we continue our transformation from menswear retailer to styling destination, this role offers a unique opportunity to help shape how our brand is experienced by customers and colleagues alike.
