Scala Developer

This position is with one of our clients in United Kingdom who is actively hiring candidates to expand their teams. Role: Scala Developer Location: Chester, UK Employment Type: Full-time Permanent Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using Scala.
• Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and microservices.
• Develop and optimize MySQL database solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver quality software solutions.
• Troubleshoot application performance and reliability issues.
• Participate in code reviews and software design activities.
• Support CI/CD and deployment automation initiatives. Required
• At least 6 years of overall IT/software development experience.
• Strong programming experience in Scala and familiarity with Scala frameworks.
• Good knowledge of Java and backend application development.
• Strong understanding of OOP and Functional Programming concepts.
• Experience developing scalable, high-performance applications and services.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL, database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with Git/version control systems. Preferred
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience in application performance optimization and troubleshooting.
