Project Manager - Construction Technology

Role: Project Manager- Construction Technology Experience: 5+ Years Location: Hong Kong (onsite at construction project locations; travel between sites as required) Reports To: Head of Digital Innovation / Construction Technology Director Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Digital Project Manager to lead the end-to-end rollout of integrated digital construction solutions across residential and commercial building projects in Hong Kong. This role encompasses deployment of hardware (sensors, cameras, edge devices, wearables), software platforms (BIM viewers, CDEs, safety and progress tracking apps, and other construction platform software), and comprehensive training programs for site engineers, planners, administrative staff, and subcontractors. The successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison between technology teams and construction operations, ensuring smooth adoption, measurable productivity gains, and compliance with Hong Kong building regulations and industry standards (e.g., CIC BIM standards, ISO 19650). • Minimum 5 years' experience in construction project management, with at least 3 years focused on digital transformation, BIM coordination, or construction technology implementation.
• Proven track record managing hardware-software rollouts on live construction sites in Hong Kong or similar regulatory environments.
• Hands-on experience with BIM platforms (Revit, Navisworks, ACC/BIM 360), CDEs, IoT integration, and field productivity applications.
• Experience working on both residential and commercial high-rise building projects is highly desirable. Technical Skills
• Strong understanding of construction workflows (planning, procurement, safety, QA/QC, progress tracking) and how digital tools augment them.
• Familiarity with industrial protocols (MQTT, Modbus), edge computing architectures, and video stream processing is highly advantageous.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau) and basic scripting (Python, SQL) for custom reporting is a plus.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and containerized deployments is beneficial. Language & Communication
• Fluent in written and spoken Cantonese and English.
• Mandarin proficiency is a strong advantage for liaising with mainland contractors and vendors.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Certifications (Preferred)
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
• Autodesk Certified Professional (Revit, ACC), CIC BIM Manager certification, or ISO 19650 Lead Implementer.
• Certifications in Agile, Scrum, or Change Management (e.g., Prosci) are advantageous.
