• Location: Rural Primary School close to Carnforth
• Job Type: Part-time (09:00 - 12:30, Monday to Friday)
• Start - ASAP

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a rural primary school. This role involves supporting a Year 4 pupil, working both one-to-one and in small groups. The initial contract is until Christmas, with a potential extension for the full academic year.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide tailored support to a Year 4 pupil, ensuring they engage effectively in learning activities.
• Assist in the delivery of a bespoke English and Maths curriculum designed to meet the specific needs of the pupil.
• Work closely with the classroom teacher to implement educational plans and monitor the pupil's progress.
• Facilitate small group activities, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the varying needs and interests of students.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role within a primary school setting.
• Strong ability to work effectively one-to-one and in small groups.
• Proficient in delivering tailored English and Maths curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
