Electrical Maintenance Manager

Electrical Maintenance Manager (SM) 7 Steel UK – Cardiff (Onsite, 5 days a week) Competitive Starting Salary + bonus Location and hours: Onsite, Splott Industrial Estate, Cardiff, CF24 5TH Wales. Minimum 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with 30-minute paid lunchbreak. Are you technically minded, and looking to build a long-term career in Engineering? Joining our Sections Mill Team as an Electrical Maintenance Manager, we will support you to achieve this. Your days will be exciting and varied, as your time will be spent between the offices, and down on the plant; so no two days will look the same. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading, inspiring and managing the Electrical Engineering and Craft teams
• Managing Electrical maintenance projects, including their scope, resource allocation, and safety requirements
• Prioritising health and safety policies in all areas of your work, and leading by example Requirements: More than anything we are looking for people with experience of leading Electrical Engineering teams, and be able to influence, inspire and develop your employees, as well as communicate effectively with the wider organisation. As well as your advanced technical skills, you will also bring passion, purpose, adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset to 7 Steel UK. We are interested in candidates who have:
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Appropriate industrial electrical experience You'll also ideally bring:
• Significant industrial electrical maintenance experience, with experience in a Steel Plant (Rolling Mill experience desirable)
• Strong experience in leading teams and management positions
• High commitment to Health & Safety
• Strong experience with: Industrial AC/DC motors, Variable-speed drives, MCCs, Transformers, LV/HV switchgear, Electrical distribution, Protection systems, Industrial electrical troubleshooting
• Good understanding of PLC and automation systems.
• Knowledge of Siemens and Allen-Bradley automation systems is advantageous.
• Experience in preventive, predictive and reliability-centred maintenance.
• Strong RCA and failure-analysis experience.
• Experience managing major shutdowns and maintenance projects.
• Experience managing maintenance budgets, contractors and spare parts.
