FM Conway

Make a difference every day. At FM Conway, our HGV Drivers do far more than drive. They play a vital role in protecting communities, preventing flooding and keeping the UK's essential infrastructure running safely and efficiently. We're looking for a skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to join our growing Water and Drainage Management team. Working as part of a supportive two-person crew, you'll use specialist vehicles and equipment to carry out a variety of drainage operations, from planned maintenance and high-pressure water jetting to emergency response work. No two days are the same. Whether you're helping to prevent flooding after heavy rainfall, responding to urgent drainage issues or supporting the maintenance of critical infrastructure, you'll finish each shift knowing your work has made a genuine difference. As one of our HGV Class 2 Drivers, you will:

  • Carry out a wide range of drainage services, including high-pressure water jetting (HPWJ) to inspect, clean and maintain drainage networks.
  • Respond to emergency callouts, resolving blockages, overflows and other drainage issues quickly and safely.
  • Support planned and reactive maintenance, helping to keep water flowing and minimise disruption to local communities.
  • Accurately record completed work and identify any additional repairs or follow-up actions.
  • Use our app-based reporting system to update jobs, upload photos and communicate effectively with the wider team. You'll ideally have: We're looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in delivering a great service and thrives as part of a close-knit team. You'll hold a Class 2 (Category C) Licence and a valid Driver CPC, with a strong commitment to health and safety and a positive, reliable attitude. Previous drainage experience is beneficial, but it isn't essential. If you're willing to learn and bring the right mindset, we'll provide the training and support you need to build a successful career with FM Conway. Why join FM Conway? At FM Conway, you're not just joining a company - you're joining a business built around its people. We invest in our colleagues, celebrate success and provide opportunities to develop new skills and progress your career. Whether you're looking to build specialist knowledge within water and drainage or develop your career within the wider business, we'll support you every step of the way. Alongside a competitive salary, you'll receive:
  • 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Company pension.
  • Life assurance.
  • Ongoing training and career development.
  • Internal progression opportunities.
  • Shopping discounts through our Rewarding Great People platform.
  • Health and wellbeing support, including 24-hour advice lines and access to our Mental Health First Aiders. Our Water and Drainage Management Division is one of the fastest-growing areas of FM Conway. Working with one of the UK's largest specialist fleets, we deliver innovative drainage maintenance, surveying and rehabilitation services that help keep our roads, communities and environment moving. Join our family. Build your future. Make a difference. We believe in people, not algorithms. That's why every application is personally reviewed by a member of our Recruitment Team - never by AI. We look forward to receiving your application!
