Warehouse Assistant

Application Deadline: 5 October 2026 Department: Yard / Feedstore Location: Newbury Compensation: £10.85 - £12.71 / hour Description About The Role Contract: Temporary Hours: 40 hours Hours of Work: 40 Hours per week, working Tuesday to Saturday 8.30-17.30 As Warehouse / Yard Assistant, you'll play a key role in managing stock, supporting operational standards, and ensuring customers receive excellent service. You'll work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a clean, safe environment and make sure every interaction reflects our values: customer first, innovative, knowledgeable, honest, committed, and courageous. Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with goods inwards, stock rotation, and accurate processing of deliveries
• Maintaining integrity of stock records and ensuring correct selling of items
• Keeping feedstore and yard areas organised and compliant with company standards
• Delivering friendly, solution-focused service to all customers
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety policies and company procedures About You
• Experience providing excellent customer service in a practical, hands-on retail setting
• Experience in manual handling and safe lifting practices
• Experience working in an agricultural or feedstore environment
• Forklift Truck licence (desirable)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work under pressure
