Accounts Junior

We are looking for an ambitious Accounts Junior to join our friendly and professional team. Responsibilities Working within our Accounts Department, you will prepare accounts, VAT and tax returns for a varied portfolio of sole traders, limited companies and owner-managed businesses across Bristol and the South West. You will independently produce straightforward accounts and tax work while supporting the team with Making Tax Digital (MTD) preparation and compliance. Skills & Experience

• Strong working knowledge of Excel and accounting software.
• Good practical experience using Xero is highly desirable.
• Experience of accounts production software and personal tax software would be advantageous.
• Up-to-date accounting knowledge, including relevant accounting standards.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business clients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Qualifications
• AAT qualified or ACA part-qualified.
• Experienced in working within an accountancy practice environment.
• Have a minimum of 2 years' recent practice experience preparing accounts and supporting client portfolios. Salary & Benefits
