Senior Engineer

This position is with a leading UK supplier of temporary works equipment, not an internal role within Civil Engineering Recruitment. We are currently supporting our client with recruitment for the following permanent role: Senior Engineer (Major Projects)

An excellent opportunity for a Senior Engineer with proven experience in structural and geotechnical design to lead complex engineering projects across a range of sectors. This is a hands-on technical and leadership role involving the management of design delivery, mentoring of junior engineers, and ensuring outputs meet relevant industry standards. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex engineering schemes (Cat 2 and Cat3)
• Design bespoke structural and geotechnical products or components
• Mentor, develop and supervise Graduate and Design Engineers.
• Act as the technical point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders
• Review engineering designs to ensure compliance with current regulations and industry standards
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the design function
• Support commercial teams with technical advice during project planning and tender stages
• Help shape engineering standards, procedures and best practice across the business Key Requirements
• Degree in civil and/or structural engineering or equivalent (BEng, MEng, BSc, MSc)
• Minimum of three years' relevant post-graduate experience
• Proven ability to design and check structural and geotechnical schemes to a high standard
• Demonstrable experience leading technically complex engineering projects
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit and specialist temporary works design software
• Excellent leadership, communication and client-facing skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
