Learning Mentor

Permanent | Term Time Only | 35 Hours per Week | £24,986 ( Pro rata term time only )

Reed Further Education are currently recruiting for a compassionate and dedicated Learning Mentor to join a supportive educational environment.

This rewarding role is ideal for someone with experience supporting learners with additional needs and providing personal care. You will play a key role in helping learners access education, develop independence and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities for the Learning Mentor Role

• Provide in-class support to learners across a range of programmes.
• Assist learners with educational activities and engagement.
• Deliver personal and intimate care, including toileting, feeding and menstrual care.
• Support learners with mobility and manual handling requirements.
• Promote independence, confidence and wellbeing.
• Work closely with teaching staff to ensure individual learner needs are met.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and college policies at all times.

Requirements for the Learning Mentor Role

• GCSE English and Maths Grade C/4 or above.
• Previous experience supporting learners in an education, care or support setting.
• Experience delivering personal care.
• Manual handling experience or training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding and learner welfare.
• Ability to build positive and professional relationships with learners and colleagues.
