Software Test Engineer

About the Project An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a DO-178C aerospace programme developing safety-critical software for an aircraft console/display system. The software consists of both SCADE-generated display code and manually developed Embedded C software. Due to increased verification and validation activity, an additional Software Test Engineer is required to support delivery. Responsibilities

• Develop software test plans and test procedures
• Write and execute test scripts
• Perform module-level and integration testing
• Verify manually developed Embedded C software
• Produce test reports and certification evidence
• Support DO-178C verification and validation activities
• Work with software developers and test leads to ensure successful project delivery
• Support host and target-based testing activities Essential Experience
• DO-178B or DO-178C experience
• Embedded C software experience
• Software Verification & Validation (V&V)
• Module, unit or integration testing
• Strong technical documentation skills
• Aerospace, Defence, Automotive or other safety-critical industry experience Desirable Experience
• NI TestStand
• Rapita / RapiTest
• LDRA
• VectorCAST
• Tool Qualification
• System-level testing
