About the job
: Design, develop, deploy, and support scientific applications and research compute solutions while working closely with scientists Technology/Skills Required for the role: Primary infrastructure and scientific platforms in scope
- Compute: HPC cluster infrastructure plus Linux-based sandbox and evaluation environments. Comfort with Linux command line, troubleshooting and deployment is essential.
- Cloud: AWS and Azure. An AWS technical assessment is an active cross-workstream priority, so AWS depth is valuable.
- Scientific platforms: Nextflow, CryoSpark or MODX
- Containers: Docker and Kubernetes-style packaging and deployment of scientific applications and models.
- Development stack (Analyst): Python, C#, R and Angular or similar, plus middleware and integration workflow development bridging integration and domain teams.
- Ways of working: existing SCRUM team, with solution documentation and Digital System Governance contribution expected.
- Scientific or life sciences domain knowledge
- Application development and enhancement
- Middleware and integration development
- Testing, troubleshooting and deployment support
