Grants Lead
at Renewed HopeSkills-based volunteering | Grants Lead, Renewed Hope East Surrey ✍ Renewed Hope supports people facing homelessness and hardship in East Surrey. We run a drop-in centre in Redhill which is open six days a week all year round, and a Winter Night Shelter in partnership with local churches. Grant funding is central to keeping that work going. We're looking for a volunteer to own our grant pipeline - identifying opportunities, drafting applications and building a repeatable process. What makes this role different We're already using Microsoft Copilot on a limited basis to speed up research and drafting. You'll have the scope to shape how a small, local charity uses AI in fundraising, so that we can do more with the resources with have. That's a practical, current skill, and it has a real impact. What we're looking for
- Grant or bid-writing experience, ideally, or a willingness to learn
- Confidence with Microsoft 365 and an interest in AI tools
- Around 2–3 days a month, flexible and hybrid (Redhill)
- Attendance at our committee meeting every two months, in person or online New to grant writing? You'll be supported by Hugh Serjeant, our Chair, and the Fundraising Committee to get started. If you'd like to put your skills to work locally, or know someone who might, contact Hugh at hugh@renewedhope.org.uk. We'd also really appreciate you sharing with your network for reach.
