Assistant Account

Beyond Talent is working with a well-established, growing business in the Barnsley area to recruit an Assistant Accountant into their finance team. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role and wants to develop their experience across both transactional finance and month-end processes - with full training and support provided. The Role You'll play a key part in supporting the finance function, with responsibilities including:

• Managing the purchase ledger
• Performing bank reconciliations
• Supporting with accruals and prepayments
• Handling rebates and intercompany transactions
• Assisting with import-related accounting
• Reconciling company credit cards
• Supporting the production of management accounts This is a hands-on role with plenty of exposure and the chance to really build on your accounting knowledge. What We're Looking For
• Previous experience in an accounts role (Assistant Accountant / Accounts Assistant level)
• Strong understanding of purchase ledger and reconciliations
• Experience using Sage and Excel
• Confident with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS
• A proactive, organised approach and willingness to learn What's On Offer
