Automation Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner! The Role

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair issues with key automated systems.
• Analyze Material Handling Equipment (MHE) metrics and provide data visualizations to stakeholders.
• Lead or contribute to continuous improvement projects within a network of sites.
• Collaborate with global teams on the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and develop improvement strategies for control code.
• Provide training to engineering technicians on device troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. What You'll Need
• Experience with PLC controlled automation and issue diagnosis in a continuous process or production environment.
• Experience with material handling, flow and capacity visualization, and monitoring.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management tools, and EPLAN.
• Experience with ladder logic and structured programming for Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or CODESYS PLCs.
• Familiarity with Ignition SCADA or similar platforms, Human Machine Interface (HMI), and fieldbus networks (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet).
• Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), safety gateways, and input/output devices. What's On Offer
