Operations Director

Operations Director Sector: HVAC/R Rental & Hire | UK A great opportunity to join a growing HVAC/R company at an important stage of its development. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will join the Senior Leadership Team and have genuine influence over the operational strategy, team and future growth of the business. We are looking for an experienced Operations Director from an HVAC/R rental, hire or equipment services background to take ownership of the operational function and build the structure required to support continued expansion. The Role

• Lead hire, service, delivery, engineering and depot operations across the business.
• Improve operational processes, systems and workflows to increase efficiency and service levels.
• Ensure high standards across technical delivery, safety, compliance and quality.
• Develop the operational team, structure and capability as the business grows.
• Introduce clear KPIs, accountability and performance management.
• Work closely with the CEO and SLT to align operational capacity with commercial growth.
• Develop and deliver a clear 12-month operational plan. What We Are Looking For
• Senior operations leadership experience within HVAC/R rental, hire or equipment services.
• Experience managing multi-site or depot-based operations.
• Strong understanding of HVAC/R equipment and rental operations.
• Proven track record of improving operational performance and processes.
• Commercially minded with strong people leadership skills.
• Comfortable operating strategically while remaining hands-on.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. First 90 Days
• Assess the current operation, team and processes.
• Identify immediate operational improvements.
• Establish priorities, KPIs and accountability.
• Define the future organisational structure.
