Commissioning Engineer

HVAC Commissioning Engineer North West England | Permanent | £32,000 to £55,000 depending on experience, plus vehicle, kit and expenses. A long-established building services compliance specialist is expanding its commissioning team. Thirty years trading, healthcare-led, and working across hospitals, education, retail, manufacturing and pharmaceutical sites nationwide. This is a commissioning role with genuine technical variety rather than a pure air balancing seat. You would be working across critical ventilation verification, LEV and safety cabinet testing, ductwork leakage and pressure testing, smoke visualisation and airflow validation, alongside conventional air and water side commissioning. What you would be doing

• Commissioning and validating ventilation and air handling systems to specification
• Verification and annual re-verification of critical ventilation, including theatre and cleanroom environments to HTM 03-01
• LEV testing and thorough examination, DOP and safety cabinet testing
• Ductwork air leakage and pressure testing, smoke testing and visualisation
• Water side commissioning, balancing and system validation
• Producing the records, certificates and reports that go to the client, to a standard that survives audit What you need
• A full UK driving licence. This is a hard requirement, not a preference. The role is site-based across a regional patch and there is no way round it
• Commissioning experience on the air side, the water side, or both
• The ability to work unsupervised on a client site and represent the business while you are there Healthcare or critical environment experience is an advantage but not essential. If you have solid commissioning behind you and the grade, the sector knowledge can be taught.
