Transport Planner

Transport Planner - Hartlepool

We are recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner to join a busy logistics operation in Hartlepool. This role is responsible for coordinating daily transport activities, optimising vehicle routes, and ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule daily deliveries and collections.
• Optimise routes to maximise fleet utilisation and reduce costs.
• Monitor transport KPIs and service performance.
• Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams regarding delivery schedules.
• Resolve transport issues and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with driver hours regulations, transport legislation, and company policies.
• Produce transport reports and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Previous experience within a Transport Planner, Logistics Planner, or Transport Coordinator role.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Experience using transport management systems (TMS).
• Knowledge of driver hours and transport compliance regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities.
