Software Engineering Manager

At Drive Further, we're an independent Collective made up of Financial & Legal Insurance, Magnus, MSL, Supportis, and Dualdrive. We're hiring a Software Development Manager to lead a team delivering scalable, high‑transaction software. This is a true player/coach role: you'll split your time between hands-on engineering and leading the team (depending on delivery needs). What you'll do

• Lead a team of engineers with clear priorities and predictable delivery
• Own end-to-end delivery: planning, estimation, backlog hygiene and release execution (Azure DevOps)
• Set technical direction and standards across .NET/C#, Angular, SQL Server
• Stay hands-on when needed: design, code, pair, review PRs, unblock the team
• Drive quality, reliability and security: testing approach, incident response, post-incident improvements
• Hire, onboard and develop engineers (including onshore/offshore collaboration) What we need from you
• 8+ years building and shipping software
• Strong .NET/C# (ASP.NET) + API-first backend experience
• Working knowledge of Angular (Node.js a plus)
• Solid SQL Server and transactional systems experience
• Proven people leadership: 1:1s, coaching, performance reviews, team culture
• Strong Agile delivery skills and stakeholder communication
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Azure/Azure DevOps
