Associate Founder
at FoundiumâAssociate Founder - Foundium™ Foundium™ is at an early and formative stage. There is a clear mission, a small and dedicated team, and a great deal of worthwhile work ahead. There is also, by design, no fixed playbook, so the people who join now will have a real influence on how the organisation develops. We are looking for Associate Founders: thoughtful, capable people who enjoy contributing to something from its foundations, and who care more about the outcome than the recognition. This role will suit some people better than others. If you prefer a clearly defined scope and a predictable routine, many excellent organisations offer that. If you would welcome the chance to help establish an institution in its formative years, we would be glad to hear from you. Your Role The role is intentionally broad, spanning strategic, operational and organisational work, and it will grow alongside Foundium™. You will:
- Undertake strategic research and analysis
- Support business and organisational development
- Lead communications and thought leadership initiatives
- Offer candid feedback on our product and platform
- Deliver projects and provide operational support
- Identify opportunities that strengthen the organisation, and help bring them forward ★ At the Forefront: Partnerships, Prospect Outreach & Stakeholder Engagement This is one of the most visible and valued parts of the role. Every meaningful relationship begins with a conversation. As an Associate Founder, you will often be the first person a prospect, partner or stakeholder meets at Foundium™. You will:
- Identify and introduce Foundium™ to prospects, including institutions, commercial organisations, public sector bodies and individual decision-makers
- Cultivate relationships that grow into long-term, mutually valuable partnerships
- Lead institutional outreach and stakeholder engagement, from the first introduction through to an agreed next step
- Explain clearly and honestly why Foundium™ matters, so that early interest becomes lasting commitment
- Share what you learn with the wider team, so that market insight informs our direction Our approach to outreach: we believe the best relationships are built on honesty and respect. Come prepared, be clear about who we are and where we are on our journey, listen carefully, and follow through on what you say. We value credibility, warmth and steady persistence over pressure. Why it matters: early partnerships have a lasting influence on an organisation's direction. The relationships you nurture now will shape what Foundium™ becomes, and you will see that impact first-hand. Who We Are Looking For We are less interested in credentials than in capability. Exceptional people come from many backgrounds, including business, technology, research, academia, design, communications, entrepreneurship, the public sector and commercial organisations. The strongest candidates are typically:
- Intellectually curious, with a genuine appetite for learning
- Self-directed, comfortable setting their own priorities
- At ease with ambiguity, and able to make progress without a defined path
- Clear communicators, both in writing and in conversation
- Hands-on contributors, more interested in taking part than observing
- Motivated by long-term impact rather than short-term recognition We value sound judgement, initiative and the ability to turn ideas into tangible outcomes. The capacity to learn quickly and contribute across disciplines matters more to us than prior experience in any one sector. How Success Is Measured Success at Foundium™ is not measured by individual output alone. It is reflected in how much stronger the organisation becomes through your contribution: more capable, better connected and well positioned to fulfil its mission. Successful Associate Founders consistently:
- Identify meaningful opportunities
- Coordinate capability across the team
- Create and sustain momentum
- Work through complex problems thoughtfully
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the organisation As Foundium™ grows, so will your responsibility, autonomy and institutional ownership. An Invitation Foundium™ is in an active stage of development. We see that as the opportunity rather than a caveat. If you are comfortable working without an established playbook, at ease with uncertainty, and keen to help shape an institution in its early years, we would very much like to hear from you. www.foundium.org
