Java Software Engineer I'm working with an established FinTech business building a world-leading FX trading platform, and they're looking for talented Backend Developers to join their engineering team. This is a great opportunity for engineers who enjoy Core Java, distributed systems and solving complex technical problems in a high-performance trading environment. What they're looking for:
- Strong Core Java experience with minimal reliance on frameworks
- Good understanding of data structures & algorithms
- Experience with TDD, Agile, XP or pair programming
- Knowledge of distributed, fault-tolerant and scalable systems
- Messaging, distributed caching, REST, WebSockets and IP protocols
- Strong SQL / relational database knowledge
- Linux experience; Docker/Kubernetes is a plus
- A secondary language such as C++, C#, Kotlin, Rust, Python or JavaScript
- Genuine interest in FinTech / trading technology More information: 3 days a week in Central London Up to £100k + bonus
