Communications Coordinator
at MADE CareersMADE Careers is working with a leading architecture, landscape and design practice looking to appoint a Communications Coordinator to join its London team. This is a varied communications role for someone who is a strong writer, visually minded and genuinely interested in the built environment. You'll work across projects and studios to find the stories worth telling and turn them into engaging content across PR, digital, social, awards and the practice's wider brand communications. It would particularly suit someone with 2 - 5 years' experience who wants a broad role rather than being limited to one area of communications. The Role Working closely with the senior communications and marketing team, you'll help raise the profile of the practice, its people and projects. There's a strong editorial element to the role, so you'll need to be able to spot a good story, write confidently and understand how strong imagery and design can bring it to life. You'll also have plenty of involvement across Instagram, LinkedIn and the website, alongside PR, awards, events and wider studio communications. Responsibilities
- Develop stories and content around projects, people and wider industry themes
- Write and edit news, project stories, award submissions and other communications
- Support PR activity and identify opportunities for media coverage
- Create and manage content across Instagram and LinkedIn
- Help grow social audiences organically and improve engagement
- Develop and update website content
- Support the continued development of the practice's digital presence
- Create graphics and visual content using Adobe Creative Suite
- Support brand consistency across digital and printed communications
- Work closely with teams across multiple UK studios to identify stories and opportunities
- Coordinate photography and video shoots
- Support events and wider communications activity
- Keep up to date with digital, social and communications trends Requirements
- Around 2-5 years' experience in communications, content, PR or marketing
- Excellent writing, copywriting and editing skills
- A genuine interest in architecture, design, landscape, property or the wider built environment
- Experience creating content for Instagram and LinkedIn
- Understanding of how to grow and engage audiences organically
- Strong visual eye and good graphic design skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop
- Experience with website content management systems
- Strong organisation and project management skills
- Confidence working with people across different teams and seniority levels
- Ability to manage several projects and deadlines at once
- Photography, video editing or Premiere experience would be advantageous Benefits
- Competitive salary + benefits
- Hybrid working with three days in the London studio
- Broad exposure across PR, digital, social, brand and content
- Opportunity to work across high profile built environment projects
- Collaborative communications and marketing team
- Scope to develop creatively as the role grows Why This Role This is a really nice opportunity for someone who enjoys the storytelling side of architecture and design and wants a role with plenty of variety. Rather than purely managing social channels or producing marketing collateral, you'll be finding the stories behind projects, writing about them, developing the visuals and helping decide how and where they should be communicated. Apply We'd be keen to hear from communications and content professionals with 2 - 5 years' experience, ideally from architecture, design, landscape, property or the wider built environment. Alongside your CV, examples of written, visual or digital content you've created would be really useful. 📩 Sheena Thomas | sheena@madecareers.com
