• The opportunity to develop your horticultural and retail management career The Role As Plant Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the plant and outdoor living department, ensuring high standards of plant quality, stock availability, visual merchandising and customer service. Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading and managing the horticultural department to deliver strong commercial performance
• Driving sales, maximising revenue and achieving department targets
• Managing stock availability, plant quality and stock rotation
• Creating attractive plant displays and maintaining excellent visual merchandising standards
• Recruiting, training, motivating and developing a knowledgeable team
• Delivering outstanding customer service and sharing expert horticultural advice
• Managing product ranges, promotions and departmental layouts
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety and ensuring compliance
• Monitoring performance and identifying opportunities to improve sales and profitability About You We're looking for a passionate and commercially minded horticultural professional with strong leadership skills and a genuine interest in plants and gardening. You'll ideally have:
• Previous experience as a Plant Manager, Horticultural Manager, Garden Centre Manager or Department Manager
• Experience working within a garden centre, horticultural or plant retail environment
• Strong knowledge of plants, gardening and horticulture
• Experience managing, coaching and developing a team
• A proven ability to drive sales and deliver commercial results
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
