Forward Deployed Engineer I'm working with a leading technology business looking for experienced Forward Deployed Engineers to help development teams ship software faster, safer and more reliably. This is a genuinely hands-on role — roughly 70% coding and configuration — sitting across Software Engineering, DevOps and SRE. What you'll be doing:
- Driving Continuous Delivery, CI/CD and automated testing
- Building robust test suites and championing TDD / shift-left testing
- Containerising applications with Docker / Kubernetes / OpenShift
- Improving deployment, observability and security practices
- Modernising Java/JVM and TypeScript applications
- Automating infrastructure and application deployments
- Helping teams adopt AI-assisted development What we're looking for:
- Strong commercial software engineering background
- Excellent TDD and automated testing experience
- JVM and/or TypeScript expertise
- Strong CI/CD and DevOps knowledge
- Docker + Kubernetes/OpenShift experience
- Comfortable with Linux, Maven/Gradle/npm
- Strong understanding of secure coding and production systems
- Spring and/or Ansible experience is a bonus More information:
