Key Responsibilities
- Cable Installation: Run, pull, terminate, and splice CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, and fiber optic cables through conduits, ceilings, and walls.
- Rack and Patch Panel Management: Install and organize network racks, cabinets, patch panels, and switches (rack dressing).
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Use cable testers, multimeters, and tone generators to identify connectivity issues, signal loss, or faulty terminations.
- Labeling and Documentation: Accurately label all cables, drops, and patch panels, maintaining up-to-date network diagrams and infrastructure records.
- Hardware Integration: Connect and configure basic network devices like routers, switches, access points, and security/CCTV cameras.
