Generative AI Engineer

Senior AI Engineer | Remote (UK)- £90,000 - £140,000 + Equity We're hiring a Senior AI Engineer to build production-grade AI systems that transform how patients are identified and matched to clinical trials. You'll work on LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, vector search, embeddings, retrieval systems, and large-scale healthcare data pipelines processing millions of patient records. Must-Have Experience:

• Startup experience is essential (early-stage or high-growth environments)
• Strong AI/ML background that predates the recent LLM boom We want engineers with deep machine learning and AI fundamentals, not candidates whose experience is exclusively prompt engineering or LLM integrations.
• Strong Computer Science academic foundation MSc or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
• Experience building and maintaining production AI systems, not just prototypes
• Python expertise and scalable data engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with:
• RAG & Agentic AI
• Vector databases & embeddings
• Search, retrieval & ranking systems
• AI orchestration & evaluation frameworks
