The Role

Location: Sydney

We have found a great balance of embracing flexible working whilst also maintaining in-office collaboration with most teams meeting in the office 3 days per week.

• Strategic Leadership: Act as a critical senior contact, steering the day-to-day operational output to deliver exceptional, future-facing omnichannel campaigns.
• Client Vision & Advisory: Partner closely with top-tier clients to drive their agenda, offering expert POVs on market trends and delivering innovative, strategic insights.
• Crafting Master Plans: Lead the construction, presentation, and negotiation of data-led media plans that beautifully blend traditional TV dominance with progressive digital channels.
• Nurturing Top Talent: Empower, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a supportive culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and genuine care.
• Driving Agency Growth: Champion product innovation, contribute to award-winning entries, and play an active role in new business pitches to build our outstanding reputation in the market.

Ideal Skills and Experience

An inquisitive, strategic media leader with a robust offline background and a passion for mentoring, who is ready to take true ownership of massive campaigns and drive genuine innovation across the board. We're also looking for;

• Extensive Media Mastery: An exceptional understanding of the media landscape, particularly boasting strong offline and TV buying roots, with the vision to fuel broader omnichannel growth.
• Strategic & Analytical Mindset: A results-driven approach with a brilliant knack for translating complex data and market insights into clear, actionable optimisation strategies.
• Inspiring Leadership: Proven experience in managing, motivating, and developing talent, resolving challenges smoothly, and championing a collaborative team culture.
• Commercial Acumen & Negotiation: Superb negotiation skills with a history of delivering flawless financial accuracy and driving real commercial value.
• Confident Communication: Top-tier problem-solving and presentation skills, ensuring you can articulate complex media principles to internal teams, media partners, and senior clients alike.

At Wavemaker ANZ, we offer a competitive salary package, with 20 days holiday increasing with service to a maximum of 25 days, with the option to purchase extra leave of up to 4 weeks per year.
