We're looking for an experienced and proactive Transport Manager to lead our transport operation, ensuring our services are safe, reliable, efficient and ready to grow alongside the organisation . This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in transport, logistics or fleet management who enjoys improving services, leading teams and finding practical solutions . What you'll be doin g As Transport Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and development of our transport service, including : 🚐 Overseeing route planning, vehicle utilisation and staffin g👥 Leading and supporting our Transport Coordinator and team of Driver s📋 Ensuring compliance with transport legislation, licensing and safety requirement s🔧 Overseeing vehicle maintenance, inspections and documentatio n📊 Monitoring costs, vehicle usage, route efficiency and service performanc e📈 Developing transport capacity to support the growth of our service s🤝 Working with colleagues, families and external partners to make sure transport meets the needs of the people we suppor t🌍 Exploring community transport opportunities to maximise the use of our fleet and generate additional incom e💡 Driving continuous improvements in safety, efficiency and service qualit y What we're looking fo r You'll need : ✅ Experience within transport, logistics or fleet managemen t✅ Knowledge of relevant transport compliance and legislatio n✅ An understanding of D1 licence requirements and driver complianc e✅ Experience managing staff and operational service s✅ Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving skill s✅ Confidence managing risk and making decisions under pressur e✅Experience of community or accessible transport, working with people with disabilities, or holding relevant transport qualifications would be an advantage .
