Senior Systems Engineer

Senior Systems Engineer | Permanent | Hybrid/Portsmouth We're looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to work on a permanent basis, supporting complex engineering projects in the maritime domain. This is an excellent opportunity for a systems engineering professional with strong technical leadership skills and experience working across the systems engineering lifecycle. Key responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver systems engineering activities across complex projects
• Develop and manage requirements, system designs, technical documentation and engineering outputs
• Define and apply appropriate systems engineering processes, techniques and standards
• Lead and support technical teams, including mentoring junior engineers
• Engage with stakeholders, project managers and senior technical personnel
• Identify, manage and escalate technical risks and issues
• Ensure appropriate consideration of safety, security, cost and schedule
• Support compliance with relevant regulatory, safety and technical standards About you:
• 7–10+ years' relevant engineering/systems engineering experience
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent
• CEng or equivalent professional qualification
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, lifecycle processes and requirements engineering
• Experience working on medium-scale, complex technical problems
• Knowledge of the maritime domain is highly desirable
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• Experience leading technical teams and managing engineering outputs
