Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join a large-scale technology team working on data platforms and cloud-based applications. The role involves building reliable, secure and high-performance software that supports the movement and processing of critical data. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain production-quality software.
• Build solutions for efficient and reliable data movement and processing.
• Focus on performance, scalability, security and automation.
• Work with architects, engineers and business teams to define technical solutions and requirements.
• Support applications in production and take ownership from development through to deployment and support.
• Contribute to performance and non-functional testing.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical best practices.
• Work within an Agile/Scrum/Kanban environment. Key Skills & Experience
• Strong experience developing complex production applications.
• Experience with data platforms and performance-focused applications.
• Strong JVM experience, ideally with Pekko or similar frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of non-functional testing, including performance, scalability and reliability testing.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Good communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to take ownership and work independently while supporting the wider engineering team.
