Creative Technologist
at Build HaltCreative Technologist (AI) Build Halt - [London / on-site] - Full-time Hi. We're looking for someone who can't stop building things. You know the type. You get an idea on a Tuesday night, and by Wednesday morning there's a rough prototype, three new ideas off the back of it, and a tab open to a model that was released yesterday. If that sounds like you, keep reading. We're Build Halt. We're small, we move fast, and we think the most interesting creative work of the next decade will come from people who think in ideas and build with AI. We're after one of those people. This isn't a "here's your brief" job. You'll come up with ideas, pull them apart, rebuild them better, and take them all the way to something real. We want your mind to shape where this goes: what we make, how we make it, and what we try next. What your days might look like
- Turning a half-formed idea into a working prototype before lunch
- Chaining models, tools and agents in ways the docs never mentioned
- Running experiments that might fail spectacularly, and telling us what you learned
- Spotting what's coming next in AI before it's on everyone's feed
- Taking the ideas that work and turning them into things people use, love and talk about
- Having real say in the big decisions, not just the creative ones You'll probably…
- Speak fluent AI: LLMs, diffusion, agents, prompting, fine-tuning, APIs. You know what's under the hood and what's hype
- Have a creative instinct you trust and the taste to back it up
- Take risks, and be comfortable when an experiment doesn't work
- Build things yourself, whether that's code, no-code, node graphs or duct tape
- Have a folder of side projects nobody asked you to make
- Care as much about why something should exist as about how to make it Bonus points if you…
- Have shipped something with AI that real people used
- Write, share or teach what you're discovering
- Have a slightly unhinged idea you've been waiting for someone to back What you get
- Creative freedom. We mean it
- Salary and equity options negotiable
- A generous budget for tools, models and compute. Break things, then make better things
- A small team that will get excited about your weird ideas, not shut them down How to apply Skip the cover letter. Show us something you've built, anything from a polished product to a scrappy experiment, and tell us in a few lines what you'd build first if you joined. Send it to admin@buildhalt.com . We welcome people from every background, especially those who didn't take the usual route. Different minds make better ideas.
