Senior Data Engineer

Iris's client, one of the world's largest multinational Investment banking and financial services corporations, is looking to hire a Senior Data Engineer opportunity. Work location: London, UK (Hybrid Onsite – 3 days a week office)

A Senior Data Engineer with strong Databricks and Python experience to develop scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions supporting CCAR and regulatory reporting. Role Description: Support data engineering and integration initiatives, working with regional and global teams on financial markets data flows.

• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based data solutions for Risk, Regulatory, Finance, and Compliance.
• Partner with business and product teams to translate requirements and process gaps into technology solutions.
• Collaborate with architects, DBAs, cybersecurity, and other IT teams on application design and integration.
• Participate in development planning, prioritization, and technical discussions. Must Have Skills
• Databricks, Python, and SQL.
• Financial services experience, preferably capital markets.
• Understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and end-to-end data flows
• Experience building large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines with data processing frameworks on any cloud Azure or AWS platform).
• Integrating data from a variety of sources, assuring that they adhere to data quality and accessibility standards
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
