Construction Manager

Construction Manager Location: Dorset, UK Job Type: Permanent A rapidly growing UK energy infrastructure business is looking to appoint a Construction Manager to support the delivery of a major portfolio of energy projects. The business is developing and delivering large-scale BESS, flexible generation and long-duration energy storage projects, with a significant pipeline moving through development and construction. This is an owner-side construction role, providing leadership across EPC contractors, principal contractors and specialist suppliers from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. The Role You'll be responsible for:

• Leading construction delivery across assigned energy infrastructure projects.
• Providing construction input across design, procurement, mobilisation and execution.
• Managing and challenging EPC and principal contractor performance.
• Reviewing construction programmes, methodologies, sequencing and resource requirements.
• Monitoring progress, risks, quality and HSE performance.
• Coordinating engineering, procurement, commercial and construction activities.
• Supporting site mobilisation, commissioning and final handover.
• Acting as a key interface between the project team, contractors and senior stakeholders. About You We're looking for an experienced Construction Manager with a background in major energy, infrastructure or EPC projects You'll ideally have:
• Significant construction management experience on large-scale projects.
• Experience managing EPC / Tier 1 contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, programme and site delivery.
• Experience taking projects through construction into commissioning and handover.
• SMSTS and CSCS.
• Experience in BESS, power generation, renewables, utilities, substations, hydro or wider energy infrastructure would be highly relevant.
