Firewall Engineer

Harvey Nash is now inviting candidates to apply for the role of Firewall Engineer, an initial 6 month contract to be hybrid in Reading.

• Ideally, candidates will already hold Security clearance. At a minimum candidates must be eligible.
• Inside of IR35 / Umbrella.
• £500 - £700 a day. This is a support role for a newly established “Network & Security” team within the Cyber Resilience Programme. An initial focus on discovery and documentation of the existing firewall estate, followed by hands-on support of the firewall environment as part of Business As Usual (BAU) operations and project delivery. Required Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience working as a Firewall Engineer within a complex enterprise environment.
• Strong hands on experience with Check Point firewalls, including policy design, implementation, and operational support.
• Experience with both physical and virtual firewall platforms, including cloud hosted firewall environments.
• Experience supporting firewall services across both operational (BAU) and project based workstreams.
• Strong documentation skills, with experience capturing as?is environments and producing clear, structured technical documentation.
• Good understanding of network security principles, firewall architectures, and secure network design. Please apply today by submitting your CV.
