Frontend Lead Software Engineer | Glasgow, UK Location: Glasgow, UK Work Mode: 5 Days Onsite Type: Contract Experience: 8–12 Years We're looking for a Frontend Lead Software Engineer to drive frontend engineering excellence for a major client-facing Research Platform transformation. What You'll Do
- Own frontend deliverables from discovery and architecture through production and operations
- Design scalable solutions using modular & micro-frontend architectures
- Mentor engineers and drive strong engineering, testing and accessibility practices
- Work closely with Product, UX and technology teams to translate business needs into scalable UI solutions
- Evaluate emerging frontend technologies and delivery practices
- Lead complex, multi-team frontend initiatives independently Key Technical Expertise React / Vue / Svelte / Angular Advanced TypeScript Modular & Micro-Frontend Architecture Design Systems – Material UI / Fluent / Carbon / Radix / Bootstrap Unit, Integration & E2E Testing Vite / Turbopack / Webpack AWS / Azure / GCP Modern Web Standards & Frontend SDLC Good to Have
- Fintech / Investment Banking / Capital Markets experience
- Experience with regulated enterprise environments
- Security, risk & compliance awareness
- AI / Agentic Engineering practices
