Infrastructure Engineer

Experience

• Experience in IT operations, infrastructure or TechOps roles, with ability to lead teams.
• Experience operating as a 3rd-line (SME) support engineer across complex platforms, working both independently and collaboratively.
• Proven track record supporting business-critical, 24x7 production systems in Financial Services.
• Experience leading major incident resolution and post-incident reviews.
• Proven experience working with third-party service integrators and fully managed IT service providers in a multi-vendor environment, building effective and trusted relationships and managing them against SLAs.
• Demonstrable experience driving process improvement and automation through scripting, tooling and modern ways of working.
• Experience working within ITIL and Agile frameworks in regulated environments.
• Experience delivering on client-facing engagements, with a record of joining new projects and becoming productive within weeks.
• Working in a high-performing IT Engineering or Operations team in an equivalent or larger organization. SKILLS
• Essential: Strong technical capability across the Microsoft technology stack, including Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365 and Azure, with experience of cloud migrations from on-premise environments.
• Essential: ITIL 4 Foundation (or demonstrable equivalent practice).
• Essential: At least one cloud associate-level certification, e.g. AZ-104 (Azure Administrator) or AWS SysOps Administrator – Associate, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Desirable: AZ-400 (DevOps Engineer Expert), AZ-500 (Security Engineer), MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), HashiCorp Terraform Associate, Dynatrace or Splunk certification.
• Essential: Financial Services experience (Banking, Insurance, Payments, Lending, Wealth or Debt Purchasing) in a regulated production environment. Preferred
• AZ-400, AZ-500, MS-102
• CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator)
• HashiCorp Terraform Associate
• Dynatrace or Splunk Certifications
• Understanding of FCA/PRA, DORA, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and GDPR compliance requirements.
