Regulatory Reporting Automation Analyst - Financial Services | London | Hybrid We're working with a leading financial services organisation looking to hire a Technical Regulatory Reporting Analyst into its growing Regulatory Reporting function. This is a hands-on role combining regulatory reporting, data analysis and technology, with a particular focus on improving reporting processes, controls and automation. You'll work across large datasets, investigate complex reporting issues and partner closely with Technology, Compliance and Operations to deliver accurate regulatory reporting and drive improvements across the function. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support regulatory reporting across EMIR, MiFID II and SFTR
  • Use SQL to interrogate data, perform reconciliations and investigate reporting exceptions
  • Analyse large datasets to identify data quality issues, anomalies and control weaknesses
  • Conduct root cause analysis across multiple systems and data sources
  • Use Python and other analytical tools to automate manual processes and controls
  • Support UAT, change initiatives and regulatory reporting projects
  • Review existing processes and identify opportunities for greater automation and efficiency
  • Support data lineage analysis from source systems through to regulatory reports
  • Produce meaningful MI and data-driven insights for senior stakeholders
  • Work closely with Technology, Compliance, Operations and external vendors What We're Looking For:
  • Strong experience within Regulatory Reporting / Transaction Reporting
  • Knowledge of EMIR, MiFID II and/or SFTR
  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying, analysing and validating data
  • Experience with data reconciliations and complex reporting investigations
  • Strong understanding of the trade/transaction lifecycle
  • Exposure to Python for automation or data analysis
  • Experience supporting change, automation or process improvement initiatives
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
  • Advanced Excel capabilities
  • Exposure to Power BI, JIRA or Confluence would be beneficial The technical toolkit in the specification particularly emphasises SQL, Excel and Python, with Power BI and change-management tooling also desirable. If you're currently working within regulatory or transaction reporting and enjoy the technical/data side of the role as much as the BAU reporting itself, this could be a great opportunity to take on a position with a strong focus on automation, data and regulatory change. Please apply below if interested.
