You'll write the stories, and our in-house AI tools will help you get them further.  What you'll be doing

  • Setting the TV agenda: Lead daily coverage of entertainment, reality and factual TV (and contribute to other genres) across ED! and TV Guide, making sure every story has a sharp, original angle.
  • Breaking original stories: Pitch and deliver exclusive interviews, original lines and fresh takes on the biggest shows.
  • Driving audience: Package stories to perform in Google Top Stories, Discover and AI Overviews, and write headlines that work on Facebook.
  • Using the AI pipeline: Work with our in-house tools to adapt and distribute your stories across the group's sites and social channels.
  • Planning and freelance direction: Keep a forward planner of launches, returning series and factual drops, and brief freelancers on the angles you want.
  • Working across desks: Coordinate with our Celebrity and Social desks on major talent and crossover shows.
  • Video (desirable): Script and present short clips for Reels, TikTok and Facebook covering big TV moments and original takes. What we're looking for Essential
  • Deep knowledge of British entertainment, reality and factual TV, and a strong instinct for an original story.
  • A portfolio of original reporting and exclusives, ideally with strong traffic results at a national or high-volume publisher.
  • A working understanding of how Google Search, Discover and AI Overviews surface news, plus the headline formats that perform on Facebook.
  • Willingness to build our AI tools into your daily workflow.
  • Fast, accurate output, with strong working knowledge of media law (NCTJ or equivalent). Desirable
  • Confidence on camera, and the ability to film or edit simple short-form video. Working pattern This role includes coverage of live evening and weekend TV, such as major reality & entertainment shows, with time off in lieu. What we offer 25 days holiday allowance, pension, flexible working, training, other benefits.
