Senior Embedded Software Engineer

We are recruiting for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join a small, collaborative engineering team developing battery management systems and vehicle control technology for commercial vehicle and EV projects. This is a hands-on role with involvement across the software development lifecycle, from requirements and low-level driver development through to testing, debugging and system integration. What you will be doing:

• Developing embedded C drivers and safety features for TI ARM microcontrollers.
• Implementing safety functions using SafeRTOS and integrating auto-generated code.
• Producing software designs, unit tests and static analysis.
• Debugging software and vehicle-level issues using CAN and trace tools.
• Supporting CI/CD pipelines and automating build and test processes. What we are looking for:
• Strong hands-on embedded C development skills.
• SafeRTOS or FreeRTOS experience.
• Experience applying MISRA C and working with ISO 26262, equivalent safety standards or the V-model lifecycle.
• Knowledge of CAN, UDS and XCP.
• Experience with version control and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach. AUTOSAR, Simulink auto-code generation and scripting experience would be welcome. Why consider this opportunity?
