Senior PHP Developer | 6-Month Contract | Outside IR35 I'm currently recruiting for a Senior PHP Developer to join a dedicated Payments team on an initial 6-month contract. 💷 £375–£425 per day 📍 Fully remote – UK based 📄 Outside IR35 ⏱️ 6-month contract 🚫 No sponsorship available 🎯 2-stage interview process 🔧 The Role You'll be working within a Payments team, building and improving the back-end systems that support areas including:

• Tax calculations & VAT processing
• Invoicing systems
• Financial data & transactional workflows
• Audit readiness and compliance
• High-load and distributed systems You'll have genuine ownership across design, development and delivery, working closely with Product and Finance stakeholders. 💻 What we're looking for
• 5+ years' experience in back-end development
• Strong PHP experience — Node.js experience is also relevant
• Experience with high-load architecture & distributed systems
• Strong understanding of DDD & CQRS
• SOLID, TDD, CI/CD and Agile development practices
• Strong debugging, testing and performance optimisation skills
• Product-minded approach with strong ownership
• Experience using LLMs / AI coding assistants within development workflows 🛠️ Tech Stack PHP 8.1+ | Symfony | Laravel | Yii2 | Doctrine | PHPUnit | MySQL | PostgreSQL | MongoDB | Redis | AWS | Kubernetes | Docker Experience with Git, GitLab/GitHub, Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus and modern AI-assisted development tools is also relevant.
