Import Export Manager

Our client is a leading and well-known distributor of health food products based in Central London who are recruiting an Import/Export Manager to join their team and take responsibility for all aspects of the company's import and export operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced import/export professional with strong knowledge of ocean freight, container shipments and international trade to manage the end-to-end import and export process and ensure the smooth running of international shipments. This is a hybrid role with 1 day working from home. Benefits include an 8% employer pension contribution and private healthcare with BUPA. Duties will include:

• Managing import and export container shipments, including cross-trade
• Coordinating shipments with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines and other logistics partners
• Managing the full ocean freight process from booking through to delivery
• Working with and applying Incoterms
• Understanding and managing import duties, tariffs and customs requirements
• Researching and identifying relevant duty, tariff and import information
• Ensuring all import/export and customs documentation is accurate and completed on time
• Monitoring shipments and resolving any issues or delays
• Processing import/export transactions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Using Excel confidently for shipment tracking, reporting and analysis About You:
• Proven experience managing ocean freight and container shipments
• Strong knowledge of Import, Export and Cross-Trade
• Good understanding of Incoterms
• Knowledge of import duties, tariffs and customs procedures is desirable
• Strong Excel skills
