Interim Financial Controller

Interim Financial Controller PE-Backed Manufacturing | Cambridge | 6–9 Months We are supporting a PE-backed manufacturing business in Cambridge with the appointment of an Interim Financial Controller for a 6–9 month contract. Reporting to the CFO/Finance Director, this is a hands-on role with responsibility for the day-to-day finance function, financial control and delivery of accurate and timely reporting. Key Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close and management reporting process.
• Maintain control of the general ledger and balance sheet, including reconciliations, accruals and journals.
• Oversee AP, AR and transactional finance processes.
• Manage inventory, stock and manufacturing accounting.
• Maintain and strengthen financial controls and processes.
• Support cash flow, working capital, budgeting and forecasting.
• Manage and support the finance team.
• Coordinate year-end audit and statutory requirements.
• Drive improvements across finance processes, reporting and systems.
• Support the CFO/FD with ad-hoc reporting and analysis. Candidate Profile
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Experienced Financial Controller with strong month-end and financial control experience.
• Manufacturing, engineering or inventory-led sector experience preferred.
• PE-backed or fast-paced business experience advantageous.
• Strong Excel/ERP capability.
• Hands-on, pragmatic and comfortable getting into the detail. Location: Cambridge / Hybrid Contract: 6–9 months Start: ASAP
