This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing telecoms business where you'll play a key role in driving a proactive safety culture, supporting operational excellence, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

  • Provide expert SHESQ guidance and support across telecoms projects, ensuring compliance with company procedures and UK legislation.
  • Carry out regular site inspections, audits and behavioural safety observations to identify risks and promote best practice.
  • Review and support the development of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), ensuring effective risk controls are in place.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, site inductions and SHESQ training to promote a strong safety culture across the workforce.
  • Support compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act, CDM Regulations and relevant environmental and quality standards.
  • Build strong working relationships with project teams, clients and subcontractors, providing practical SHESQ advice and support.
  • Assist with client audits, regulatory inspections and the continuous improvement of SHESQ management systems.
  • Produce accurate reports, monitor performance trends and recommend improvements to enhance operational safety and compliance.
  • Travel regularly to operational sites, acting as a visible SHESQ presence and championing safe working practices.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and previous experience in a SHESQ or Health & Safety Advisor role within telecoms, utilities, construction or infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation, including CDM Regulations and risk management principles.
  • Experience conducting audits, inspections, incident investigations and delivering safety training.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • IOSH membership, experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001, and knowledge of Openreach or telecoms infrastructure projects are advantageous.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel across operational sites.
