MLRO – Digital Assets (Fully Remote) A well established, regulated financial services business operating across multiple international jurisdictions is looking for an experienced MLRO to lead its financial crime compliance function. This is a senior, high trust mandate for someone with genuine regulatory gravitas, comfortable being the final point of escalation on suspicious activity, and confident engaging directly with regulators and law enforcement. What you'll be doing: 🔹 Act as primary regulatory point of contact, responsible for accurate and timely reporting obligations 🔹 Design and maintain AML/CFT compliance frameworks, translating group standards into local regulatory requirements 🔹 Own the annual firm wide risk assessment, identifying and calibrating controls to emerging threats 🔹 Act as final decision-maker on high-risk client onboarding and enhanced due diligence 🔹 Lead the business through regulatory examinations and audits, owning remediation 🔹 Deliver AML/CFT training and brief senior leadership on regulatory obligations What they're looking for: 🔹 Significant experience in AML/Compliance within FinTech or digital assets, including meaningful time as MLRO or Deputy MLRO 🔹 Strong technical grounding in digital assets and emerging payment rails, with familiarity in on-chain forensics tools and how they support regulatory reporting 🔹 Proven experience managing regulator and law enforcement relationships 🔹 Comfortable managing simultaneous reporting obligations across more than one regulatory body 🔹 Experience applying Travel Rule requirements in a fast-moving trading or payments environment 🔹Authoritative, resilient, and comfortable operating under pressure in a fast-moving, multi-jurisdictional environment Fully remote, strong package.
