PRE - Mix Operative

Pre‑mix Operative Location: Gateshead Team Valley, UK Reports to: Product Team Lead Direct Reports: None Biscuit International UK is the leading specialist supplier of own‑label gluten‑free biscuits and cookies in the United Kingdom. Located in Gateshead, our production facility operates three lines, with an annual output exceeding 4,300 tonnes annually in plain, chocolate, and sandwich biscuit formats. We are part of Biscuit International, Europe's leading private label biscuit and bread substitute manufacturer, with a rich heritage of over 400 years of expertise in delivering excellent taste at great value. We're seeking a Pre‑mix Operative (Small Weighman) to join our Production team in Gateshead and support the accurate preparation of small‑weighed ingredients for production. Reporting to the Product Team Lead, this role ensures ingredients are weighed, labelled and transported correctly, maintaining full traceability and continuous production without unscheduled downtime. Key Responsibilities

• Weigh small quantities of ingredients accurately in line with recipe sheets
• Conduct physical checks on raw materials and report non‑conformances
• Use the Myrias system to weigh, label and record ingredients correctly
• Ensure strict stock rotation and full traceability compliance
• Complete all paperwork accurately and on time
• Transport prepared ingredients to the correct production line
• Follow clean‑as‑you‑go, hygiene and allergen control procedures
• Adhere to all food safety, health & safety and manual handling requirements
• Use approved tools to open ingredients and return materials to correct locations
• Support other production activities when required Skills & Experience
• Right to work in the UK
• Experience in food manufacturing or food handling
• Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills
• Ability to follow recipes, specifications and procedures accurately
• Good verbal and written English communication skills
• Reliable, organised and able to work in a fast‑paced environment
• Level 2 Food Safety essential
